Job Description

Scunthorpe United Football Club are seeking to recruit a Part-time Sport Scientist (approximately 4 week days per week. 20 hours per week) to join the Sports Medicine & Sports Science Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting daily heart rate and GPS data a producing a daily report.

Essential qualities / qualifications
* Degree in Sport Science (or another relevant discipline)
* Experience of working with elite athletes, preferably in professional football
Desirable qualities / qualifications
* Post-graduate qualification in Sport and Exercise Science
* Experience of working in professional football
* Experience of monitoring and evaluating player load e.g. GPS and heart rate data
* Experience of previously working with the catapult GPS and polar HR system
* Current and valid First Aid Certificate – Basic First Aid for Sport desirable
