Football Development Officer (Adult) – Staffordshire FA

Job Description
    Role Description:
– To support successful delivery of the County FA NGS targets in partnership with key stakeholders
– To support and oversee all aspects of Adult Male Football including acting as a key contact with appropriate Leagues

    The key work areas are:
– Plan and deliver programmes to deliver the targets to retain and grow participation for 11v11, veterans and small sided male game
– To take specific responsibility for work within the adult game, increasing understanding and awareness of key issues and barriers to participation
– Lead and support the review and delivery of Adult competition and league structures with providers to ensure the structure meets the needs of all players
– Lead the delivery of the County FA’s Recreational Football offer
– Analyse and use national and local data & insight to design and deliver customer focused services
– Identify, manage and develop relationships with key partners to meet the objectives and targets of the County FA
– Implement an appropriate education and CPD programme for Adult coaches and volunteers.
– Work with Adult Clubs and Leagues in the pyramid to support the ground grading requirements and support the FA Pitch Improvement Programme across the County
– Design and deliver a programme of services to Clubs and Leagues, supporting the recruitment and development of volunteers.
– Deliver the FA Charter Standard Clubs and League programme within the Adult game

To apply you need to be of graduate calibre, have experience in sports development and have successfully managed multiple projects. Candidates will demonstrate experience and an understanding of the FA’s National Game Strategy. You need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level and have knowledge of the Adult game. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate both team working skills and have the ability to work unsupervised as well as a focus on customer excellence.

Candidates will have excellent interpersonal / communication / presentation skills. You also need to have a current driving licence and also be able to work evenings and weekends.
