Job Description
Burnley FC in the Community is seeking an experienced and forward thinking individual to lead on the management, development and delivery of its education provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative charity about to embark on the next stage of its development. As the club’s official charity, Burnley FC in the Community sits at the heart of Burnley FC and has an enormous power to capture the imagination of thousands of people across the region. The role will involve leading on the strategic development of our portfolio of education projects providing educational support to children, young people and adults across the region.
The post holder will be primarily responsible for;
• Effective leadership and management of the charities education programmes
• Effective planning and evaluating of the charities education programme
• Managing a team of education staff to ensure all project outcomes are achieved
• Working in collaboration with a wide range of education partners to ensure a joined up approach with schools and public sector partners
The ideal candidate will have;
• At least 5 years’ experience in establishing/managing education programmes
• A QTS/PGCE or other nationally recognised teaching qualification
• An excellent knowledge of funding opportunities linked to schools, employability and further education
• A results driven approach, lots of creativity and innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas and methods when required.
Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work some evenings and match days as required. You will require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
