Exciting new role with Barnsley Council
Barnsley Council is changing. Our vision is working together for a brighter future, a better Barnsley. Our customer focus, innovation and commercial thinking has helped us to be a high performing and sustainable Future Council.
Barnsley has a lot to offer – the highest private sector job growth in the UK, affordable property, great links to the outdoors and cities alike and a stress-free commute.
We’re looking for a very special candidate with high expectations and ambition for all children and young people, who can build effective relationships with head teachers and governors across all schools in Barnsley. Working with the chairs of The Barnsley Alliance, our schools’ partnership, you will play a crucial leadership role in embedding a strong sector-led improvement model, securing high quality education provision, and raising the achievement of all children and young people in the borough. You will have a track record in school improvement and have qualified teacher status.
You will be a member of the People directorate management team and will be committed to working collaboratively, sharing responsibility for delivering directorate and council priorities.
If you’re:
An energetic, innovative and influential leader
Enthusiastic, with a drive for excellence, quality and value for money
A great relationship builder – a linchpin
Keen to develop partnerships which will improve children’s lives
Up for the challenge of building an outstanding model of sector-led school improvement
Then we’d love to hear from you.
