Head Teacher – Bishop Aldhelm’s C E (V.A.) Primary School – Poole

Full time – term time only
Ref No: BAPS1593

Are you the outstanding Head Teacher we are seeking for our successful and oversubscribed school?

Due to the promotion of our current Head Teacher to a post within the Diocese of Salisbury, we are looking for our next enthusiastic and creative leader.

We need someone with a proven track record of maximising outcomes and raising standards to move our school from ’Good’ to ‘Outstanding’.

Crucially, our new Head Teacher will need to guide our school’s direction of travel through the Academies Agenda, working with governors and other stakeholders to ensure that the right decisions are made for our learning community.

Our school has gradually been expanding since 2011 and converted to a primary school in September 2013. It will become a complete three-form entry school in September 2017 when we will have the capacity for 630 children.

We would love to hear from you if you:

Have a proven track record of outstanding leadership in the primary phase
Have the ability to motivate and inspire the highest standard of teaching and learning
Can nurture positive relationships with children, parents and carers
Would like to work with a strong leadership team focused on the achievement of every child
Are committed to the Christian ethos and values of our school.

At Bishop Aldhelm’s CE VA Primary School you will discover:

A dedicated team of staff and governors who share a desire to improve young peoples’ life chances, with a focus on the ‘whole child’
Wonderfully enthusiastic, well behaved and engaging children who demonstrate a love of learning (you can hear from some of them now)
A school community where everyone and every achievement is valued
The opportunity to continue your own professional development – and enable others’ – in a lively school setting
A school that is underpinned by strong Christian ethos and values.

We welcome applications from experienced head teachers, or experienced senior leaders, who are looking for an exciting opportunity in a larger than average primary school in the heart of the local community.

Bishop Aldhelm’s is an inclusive, vibrant, school community where we encourage everyone to share a love of learning and the love of God within an outstanding Christian ethos. We celebrate the potential and achievement of each child, and encourage them to challenge themselves in a safe, supportive environment.

We strongly encourage you to visit our school as we’d like you to experience for yourself what a special place Bishop Aldhelm’s Primary School is. Visits can be arranged by contacting the School Business Manager, Karen Ebong, on 01202 307644 or email k.ebong@bishopaldhelms.poole.sch.uk.
