Clifton Hill School is a “Good” special school with an “Outstanding” sixth form (Ofsted July 2015), for 87 students aged 11-19 who have PMLD,SLD,ASD, challenging behaviour and complex medical needs. Our school has a stable, committed workforce that delivers exciting and meaningful learning experiences and focusses on the emotional and physical well-being of each student.

We are now looking to recruit an innovative leader to achieve the best possible education for our students through building on the robust organisation and processes we have in place .This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to make a unique contribution to our school and wider community . They will work with the Governing Body, our dynamic Senior Leadership Team, committed teaching teams and support staff to create a strategic vision for our future, and lead us into the next exciting stage of our development.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of senior management and leadership roles .They will need to demonstrate an understanding of the wider policy issues facing SEN provision and be committed to forging partnerships with staff, students, parents, governors, local community and external agencies. A strong team player, they will need to be an effective communicator with advanced interpersonal, problem solving and presentational skills. They will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching practice and/or supporting and inspiring excellence in teaching and learning. Keeping children safe in education is of paramount importance and candidates must be committed to the principles and have a sound grasp of the complex issues that may arise in the SEN environment.
