Herbert Morrison Primary School is looking for an outstanding Head to help define and lead the next stage for this well-loved community school.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a highly accomplished and talented Headteacher following 18 years exemplary and outstanding service given by the current Headteacher who retires in August 2016.
Governors will also consider applications from Headteachers or Executive Heads with a view to forming or joining a federation with their existing schools.
You Will:
Continue to lead the school community.
Have a proven track record of school improvement and the NPQH, or be working towards it.
Be an inspirational senior leader with a vision and strategic direction that will motivate all who learn and work in the school to achieve the highest standards possible.
Emphasise high quality pastoral care and support enabling all to reach their potential.
Be committed to working with pupils, staff, parents, governors, the Local Authority and the local community.
Have an understanding of recent and pending changes in education including latest developments in pedagogy, the school accountability framework and governance structures.
Have a passionate commitment to the pursuit of excellence in all the school sets out to do.
Our School:
EYFS – 3 year trend of improvement in results.
KS1 – Overall results higher than National Average with 89% of pupils achieving Age Related Expectations in reading and writing and 92% passing Phonics, 15% higher than National average.
KS2 – Results in line with National Average with 89% of KS2 pupils achieving Age Related-Expectations.
