Consequent on the retirement of Mr Harry Biggs-Davison after 25 years service as headmaster of St Philip’s, the governing body invites applications for the headship of the school from well-qualified and experienced, committed Catholic applicants. The successful applicant will be expected to take up the post on 1st January 2016.
St Philip’s is a very successful Catholic preparatory school in Kensington. Non-Catholic pupils are welcome at the school if there is a place for them, but are expected to take a full and active part in the religious life of the school. There are presently 110 boys, age 7 to 13, on roll.
Applicants should submit:
a letter of application addressed to the Clerk to the Governors together with the application form;
a CV setting out career history, responsibilities and achievements, and an explanation of any gaps;
the names and contact details of two referees,and the name of parish priest at the parish at which they worship regularly
The closing date for applications is 4pm on Tuesday 24th March 2015. Preliminary interviews will be held at the school on Thursday 16th April; final interviews will be on Monday 27th April 2015.
