Group 4 School, L21-27 with an annual allowance of up to £18000 for an exceptional candidate.
Are you what we are looking for?
If you are an exceptional leader who thrives on challenge and achieving high performance, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
The school was judged by OfSTED in 2012 to be ‘good with outstanding features’; however Governors and Senior Leaders firmly believe that significant improvements within our school still need to be implemented to raise standards. We need an accomplished and confident leader who will develop individuals and teams to significantly raise the standards of education and have the drive, motivation and resilience to embrace the challenges ahead. We want to enable every student to succeed through high expectations, interesting lessons and excellent pastoral care, support and guidance.
Our students are a key factor in making the school a welcoming and friendly learning environment and all stakeholders adhere to 10 key behaviours that shape the school’s mission and ethos.
The school’s priorities include:
Improving outcomes for our students at all key stages through more effective teaching and learning and rigorous interpretation of data
Developing high performing teams at all levels through robust leadership and management and honest self-evaluation
Continuing to embed effective performance management systems within the school to deliver necessary and expected outcomes
Improving communication across a range of audiences (internal and external)
Evaluating Post 16 provision and sustainability and considering future strategies
Maintaining and building upon our school ethos whilst working with stakeholders to bring about change
Fostering new partnerships and collaborations in order to raise standards and find solutions to wider issues
Working with Governors to explore the potential benefits that hard or soft federal structures may bring for the longer term future of the school
Our school has a strong community feel and is set in a beautiful part of the North Yorkshire countryside. There are a wide range of shopping, leisure and cultural facilities as well as excellent schools, universities, road and rail links which provide convenient connectivity to the metropolitan cities of Leeds and Newcastle. We border the Lake District, Lancashire, County Durham, and Yorkshire & Humber regions with all they have to offer. North Yorkshire is a spectacular place to live and work. Support with relocation costs may be available.
In return, we offer you committed and dedicated support upon which you can depend and a golden opportunity to really make a difference to the lives of children and young people in our area.
