Job Description
The PE & School Sport Apprentice will be supporting the Sports Development Team and responsible for assisting the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality sport sessions to children, young people and target groups in education and the community environment. All candidates must be comfortable with overseeing and delivering a variety of sports and activities and developing into leading delivery within the role.
Redditch Borough Council is a Local Authority in North Worcestershire. As a work force the Sports Development team are a shared service and work across Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils.
The services we deliver within the Sports Development Department are curriculum, after school and community sessions in a wide range of activities. Holiday activities take place during school holidays with the bulk of activities over the summer period. We also identify funding streams to access so we can support delivery of new and existing projects to sustain.
We provide sports specific as well as sessions that offer a variety of sports in one session. This provides exciting, fun and informative programmes that suit all ages and abilities.
