Founded in 1865, Bath Rugby is one of the oldest professional rugby clubs in the world. The Club has a proud heritage of success and was the preeminent rugby club during the 1980s and 1990s, winning 6 domestic league titles, 10 domestic cup titles and the Heineken Cup in 1997/98. Under new ownership since 2010, the Club is continuing to invest in developing one of the most successful clubs, both on and off the pitch.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the medical team at our prestigious Club.

Location: Based at Farleigh House, Farleigh Hungerford, Bath BA2 7RW

Main Purpose: Lead medical and physiotherapy provision across Bath Rugby Academy.

Job Role:
To lead the management and provision of medical care to all athletes within the Bath Rugby Academy, including the Senior Academy, U15 to U18 Player Development Groups, AASE programme and DPP
To directly line manage all physiotherapy practitioners working within the Bath Rugby Academy programme.
To manage the work programmes of all Academy medical staff and to regularly conduct departmental staff meetings, in co-ordination with the Head of Medical Services and Academy Manager.
To ensure best-practice policies and procedures are developed, highlighted and embedded within the practice off all academy medical staff.
To maintain excellent professional standards, confidentiality, continued professional development and record keeping in line with HPC registration guidelines, and to ensure that this is also done across your department.
To lead, co-ordinate and help deliver the physiotherapy clinics, pitch-side and match-day cover across the Academy programme at the various venues required; for all age group Academy matches, festivals, tournaments, camps, and which may include additional evenings and weekends as required.
To lead effective cross-stakeholder communication with relevant club, school and international level teams in which Bath Academy players may be playing.

Reports to: Head of Medical Services and Academy Manager

Candidate Requirements:
You should have relevant experience in elite athletic screening and a proven track record in the implementation of individual player programmes to reduce the injury profile of a team or individual.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Experience working within professional rugby is desirable but not essential.

Driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
