We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to provide both excellent teaching and also to lead on aspects of teaching and learning and continue to build on the raising of standards in our Maths Faculty.
An enthusiastic, committed and forward looking lead practitioner is required who can contribute to the growth of this core subject area. Responsible for providing support, guidance and motivation to teaching staff and Learning Support Assistants and sharing ideas and strategies that impact on classroom learning and new technologies.
Faculty GCSE results have been very encouraging in the last few years (70% A*-C in 2012 and 68% A*-C in 2013) and we are particularly pleased with the results for this year where over 70% of students achieved at least a grade C in both Maths and English. There has been a significant increase in the number of students choosing to take A Level Mathematics which reflects our popularity and examination success in recent years. The ALPS (A Level Performance System) rating for the school is Grade 3, which being rated in the top 25% of schools in the UK is a significant achievement for KES.
