Demand for both our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes continues to grow, so now we are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious lecturers across a range of sport disciplines – delivering challenging and engaging learning experiences to our students and integrating theory and research into practice to enhance their employability. We would also welcome applicants who can add to our extensive research and knowledge transfer portfolio.
We are looking for people within these specialisms:
• Physical activity, sport and health (e.g. exercise prescription; physical activity development and social marketing).
• Physical education and school sport (e.g. sport science; gymnastics; dance; athletics; aquatics or outdoor adventure activities).
• Sport coaching (e.g. contemporary coaching pedagogy and its underpinning research and practical application; performance analysis; diverse and inclusive community coaching environments; careers and professional skills development; enterprise and business development).
• Sport development / sport studies (e.g. management of events, competitions and festivals; marketing within a sport development environment; social, cultural and political aspects of sport; diverse and inclusive community sport environments; strategic management; personal and professional skills development).
You will have the ability to engage students in an enterprising and innovative curriculum which will help prepare them for their long-term career progression. As well as the key skills and knowledge in your specialist area, experience of applying these within the industries of sport and physical activity would be an advantage.
