Job Description
We are looking for a Strength and Conditioning tutors/assessors/verifiers to deliver our
1st4Sport Level 1 award in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport qualifications. We are a 1st4Sport recognised centre and have experience of delivering these qualifications nationally.
Salary: Paid per course delivered
Hours of working: As per required for the delivery of the course
Location: Nationwide
Frequency of work: As per course demand
Qualification Aim
The objective of the Level 1 Award in Coaching Strength and Conditioning (L1ACSCQ) is to provide a benefit to learners through an introduction to the processes and principles of coaching strength and conditioning for sport to adults and children. The Award offers an opportunity for those with little or no experience of coaching to be introduced to the principles of planning, delivering and evaluating coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport. They will be helped to understand how to effectively assist more qualified coaches, delivering aspects of coaching sessions, normally under direct supervision.
Criteria for Tutors
Tutors must hold one or more of the following:
The 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport
the British Weight Lifters’ Association (BWLA) Instructors Award
an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 2 award
be a UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach
be a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS)
or equivalent based on individual application
and hold one or more of the following:
a recognised teaching or tutoring qualification
a minimum of one year’s experience of delivering training and education
or equivalent based on individual application.
Assessors involved and responsible for the assessment of the qualification must hold one or more of the following:
the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport
the British Weight Lifters’ Association (BWLA) Instructors Award
an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 2 award
be a UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach
be a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS)
or equivalent based on individual application.
A recognised to verifier of the 1st4Sport Level 1 award in Coaching Strength and
Conditioning for Sport, must hold one or more of the following:
the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport
the British Weight Lifters’ Association (BWLA) Instructors Award
a Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 2 Award
be an UKSCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach
a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
or equivalent based on individual application.
