Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy is an 11-19, voluntary-aided, mixed school with 1,500 pupils within the Diocese of Nottingham.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE’S LEARNING IN MATHEMATICS AND BEING PART OF AN ENTHUSIASTIC TEAM OF DEDICATED STAFF, THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU!
The promotion of staff has led to an opportunity for a dynamic mathematician to join a forward thinking and very successful department. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers or NQT’s who would like to help develop pupil learning at all Key Stages in a supportive environment. The ability to teach Further Mathematics to A level would be desirable though not essential.
In addition to covering the Mathematics curriculum we adhere to the three QCA principles of giving our young people the opportunity to become:
Successful independent learners, who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve
Confident individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives
Responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society and uphold the values of a Catholic School
You will be part of a hard-working, mutually supporting team of twelve staff. You will use your imagination, and life-experience to help develop a Mathematics curriculum that inspires.
Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced CRB disclosure will be requested for the successful candidate, in accordance with Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education legislation. Please note that applications will only be accepted on the school’s official forms.
