Job Description
British Cycling is the internationally recognised sport’s governing body for cycling in the UK and our continued growth is built on the successful delivery of results at elite level and developing the grass roots of our sport.

    The Role
The objective of our Mountain Bike Leadership team is to contribute to this exciting ambition through the development and delivery of innovative mountain bike leadership programmes. Leaders can make a real difference to riders at any level of participation and our aim is to provide a pathway for people to obtain the skills and knowledge needed to lead rides that are safe, fun and encourage future participation.

The post holder will play an active part in the creation of programme content, course resources and delivery material in order to develop leadership qualifications of an exceptionally high standard as well as providing tutor and learner support and communications to aid the promotion and delivery of the programme.

British Cycling is seeking a skilled and committed officer to move the Mountain Bike Leadership programme forward. To succeed in this role we are looking for you to have:

• A sound knowledge of theory and practice in outdoor activity leadership.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or qualifications in NGB leadership/ instructing/ coaching qualifications.

Therefore, it is essential that you are an enthusiastic and motivating team player with a positive and practical ‘can-do’ approach.
