Job Description
This exciting new post offers an opportunity to influence future planning and delivery of safeguarding advice and support to the sport and recreation sector.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for reviewing and developing services in relation to adults at risk in sport and for identifying, planning and implementing new initiatives in line with current practice. S/he will develop and deliver a training strategy, offer advice and information to sport and recreation organisations and represent the sector at key consultations nationally.
Candidates should have a relevant degree, social work or other relevant qualification and/or at least four years vocational experience. They should have good communication and organisational skills as well as experience of influencing strategic partners and stakeholders. A proven track record of working with adults at risk and up to date knowledge of abuse and protection issues is required.
