We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher to work in Higher Education to deliver Broadcast Journalism on our Foundation Degrees and BA Degrees. Also to deliver the vocational NCTJ course at Level 3 for the HE Journalism team. The post holder will need to be able to play a key role in preparing, planning and delivering learning and co-ordinating formal assessments.
As a flexible, creative and pro-active professional you’ll be expected to use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable learners of all abilities to develop and succeed, as well as maximising student potential. You will also be working to address individual learning needs, overcome barriers to learning and encourage autonomous learning.
If you:
Have a degree or equivalent in a Broadcasting or Journalism related discipline.
Ideally to have relevant teaching qualification (or the ability/wiliness to obtain them).
Ideally have curriculum knowledge, but more importantly has up to date industry experience in Radio broadcasting, TV broadcasting or ideally both.
Have knowledge and experience of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code and other relevant industry guidelines
