Job Specification
• To deliver coaching sessions that are child-centred, structured, progressive, fun and of high-quality to children in primary school setting.
• To undertake the necessary planning for each activity session in line with national curriculum guidelines issued by Progressive Sports and independently for out of school activities and clubs
• To continually monitor and evaluate all sessions, activities and programmes and be able to adapt sessions and programmes to cater for all different ranges of ability
• To build in the young people, a basis for lifelong involvement in sport, by providing guidance on progression opportunities based on the young persons interests and abilities.
• To adopt full responsibility of their coaching timetable, ensuring sessions and activities or clubs – start on time and are then delivered punctually throughout the session
• To undertake general administrative tasks and office duties associated with the post, this will include planning sessions, completing session assessments and feedback forms, taking registers, collecting consent forms, contacting schools.
Person Specification
Applicants must meet the following criteria;
– Experience of working with Primary School aged children (4-11 years old)
– Knowledge of the National Curriculum for PE
– At least one NGB Level Two Coaching Qualification
– PE and School Sport Qualification (Desirable)
– Enhanced DBS Certificate
