We are seeking to appoint a Strategic Lead for SEND and Inclusion, (Special Educational Needs and Disability) to join our strong Senior Leadership team within the Education Service of Children and Adults Services in Durham County Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who wishes to work with key partners to continually improve the outcomes and provision for children and young people with SEND in County Durham and to lead a team of highly experienced professionals.

We aim to appoint an individual who can inspire, challenge, lead and support the SEND and Inclusion agenda in County Durham, and to fully implement the requirements of the new DFE accountability Framework for SEND provision – an effective, transparent and accountable system of support for children and young people with SEND.
