Hours of work: 3 classes per week during term time (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.) Timings flexible dependent on candidate.
Location: Blackburn Rovers FC Academy, Brockhall Village, BB6 8BA
Rate of Pay: £15 per hour
Start Date: January 2017
Purpose of the role:
Blackburn Rovers Football Club Academy are seeking two subject specialist teachers within the areas of English & Maths. The role includes attendance at the academy for 3 afternoons per week in order to help facilitate the teaching and learning in the two key subject areas. This would involve working with players in the classroom and supporting them in completing work that has been provided by school teachers; furthermore to develop and deliver a study skills/ revision curriculum in order to support and help players to complete subject work & sit exams. You will also be required to assist the Head / Assistant Head of Education to analyse school progress data and to work with the staff to identify any welfare &/or pastoral issues.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Support the day release education sessions for players from U11-U16 supporting them in completion of school work.
– Deliver revision lessons and study skills session at periodic times in an academic year.
– Devise a scheme of work to detail a plan for education sessions throughout the year.
– Support the multi-disciplinary approach to the review process by proving the Head of Education with any relevant information.
– Complete online registers detailing work completed and progress made.
– Support the Head of Education in monitoring and tracking of Pre 16 Academic Performance.
– Help support the Head of Education in monitoring pre 16 full time players at Moorland School.
