Our small independent ESBD school in Orpington, Kent is looking for a Teacher in Charge
Working with pupils, parents, carers and staff you will create the best possible educational outcomes for both day and residential pupils. This post will provide an opportunity to lead, challenge and innovate whilst the school continues its journey to success and stability.
Key responsibilities include:
To lead and manage a small education unit for children and young people with ESBD
To develop appropriate Schemes of work and adapt school policies to fit the unit
To work as part of an integrated team with Residential and Fostering colleagues
To support transition to other Schools as part of a planned approach
Essential knowledge and experience:
Experience of OFSTED inspection is essential
Knowledge of OFSTED regulations
Understanding of therapeutic approaches to the care of children
