Salary: + £1,600 Mossbourne bonus
Work in the Mossbourne Federation
The Federation’s flagship school, Mossbourne Community Academy, has changed the face of education in Hackney. It has continued to raise the bar for other schools, both locally and further afield, with the belief that all pupils, regardless of background or ability, deserve the chance to fulfil their full potential. The Academy’s pupils have consistently achieved outstanding results at all key stages: GCSE results are well above the national average, and twice the national average of Sixth Form students go on to Russell Group and Oxbridge universities. Outside the classroom, student achievements in Music, Art and Sport are testament to the success of our philosophy.
Now, the Mossbourne Federation will extend its ethos of high expectations to more children in Hackney, across primary and secondary phases. We are therefore looking for the staff with the potential, passion and drive to be outstanding – so that all our pupils get the education they deserve.
Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy is the second secondary academy to open under the Mossbourne name. We opened in September 2014 with one Year 7 of 122 students and will grow year on year until our first cohort sit their GCSEs in 2019. This is an opportunity to be involved in the early stages of a growing school, to help develop the direction and character of what will be an outstanding place of learning.
The successful applicant will be passionate about Mathematics education they will be well organised and willing to go the ‘extra mile’. They will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have a proven track record of successful Maths teaching across all key stages and will be focussed on raising the attainment of all pupils within their department.
