About the opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Post 16 Sport and Football Coaching to join the team on a 12 month fixed Term basis to cover Maternity Leave.
The role of Teacher of Post 16 Sport and Football Coaching will involve supporting the development of the post 16 pathway across all three sites with a commitment to enhance our football offering though coaching and development.
The role will require the deployment of innovative and engaging approaches to teaching, learning and assessment for all students.

Other key responsibilities will include:
· To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, assessment policies and teaching strategies in the curriculum area and subject area.
· To teach students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work carried out by the students in college and elsewhere.
· To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students and to keep such records as are required.
· To undertake a designated programme of teaching.
· To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
· To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus.
· To ensure the effective implementation of BTEC design and delivery and the football development pathway, liaising with County and National FA as required
· To become fully involved in our football programme through coaching and managing teams
· To support with college recruitment

It is essential that the successful candidate is able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of current educational issues relating to the specialist subject area

Other Skills and Knowledge will include:
· Experience at BTEC/NVQ Post 16 Levels 1/2/3
· Degree or equivalent level qualification
· Postgraduate qualification
· Qualified teacher status
· Qualified football coach
· Full driving Licence
This position will be offered on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave, with the closing date of this advert being Thursday 15th December 2022
