To succeed in this role
you will need to demonstrate experience and expertise in Woven Textile Design, illustration, be able to deliver Adobe Software specific to woven textiles and have experience with TC2 digital looms.
We are seeking
an experienced, creative practitioner with technical expertise in Woven Textile Design to complement our existing team and directly supervise textile design students in a studio environment. For this role you should have knowledge and understanding of current developments in Textiles and professional contexts as an established practitioner, as well as having experience of teaching Woven Textiles. You will be able to contribute to contextual and professional modules. You will contribute to the teaching, the assessment activities, administration, curriculum development and organisation. You should also demonstrate extensive practical knowledge and experience of the Textiles Industry, informed by current practices, innovations and technologies.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the capacity to teach in a multi-disciplinary environment and be able to adapt to new delivery styles. You will join a highly motivated team, which enjoys significant opportunities and support for personal development.
