Job Summary

We are currently hiring Trainee News Reporters to join our LACCA editorial team.

Main responsibilities:

Our readership are experts in their area of legal practice, therefore our journalists are required to provide leading edge insight and analysis to this expert readership
News gathering, sourcing stories and pitching ideas
Producing accurate and timely news content on a daily and regular basis
Research and data handling for LACCA surveys
Working collaboratively as part of their editorial team to meet regular deadlines
Administration of LACCA database; keeping member details updated and adding new members
Daily management of LACCA social media

Individual Requirements

Minimum of a 2:1 from a leading university
Post-graduate Law, Latin American Studies, Politics or Journalism qualification
Excellent organisation skills are essential
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Due to the global reach of our readership, our trainee journalists should posses an international
outlook
Demonstrable interest in Latin American business and politics
An interest in the law and business affairs and a willingness to travel internationally are essential
Legal knowledge and writing experience is an advantage
