Job Summary
We are currently hiring Trainee News Reporters to join our Global Arbitration Review (GAR), Global Investigations Review (GIR) editorial teams.
Main responsibilities:
Our readership are experts in their area of legal practice, therefore our journalists are required to provide leading edge insight and analysis to this expert readership
Producing accurate and timely news content on a daily and regular basis
Working collaboratively as part of their editorial team to meet regular deadlines
Reporters will be asked to research, report and write breaking news and analysis for our daily news service, as well as stories that will appear in our monthly magazine and assist with other projects as needed. Reporters will be asked to rely on court documents, data, regulatory filings and source interviews to craft analytical and timely news stories for a deeply sophisticated audience, written in a style and tone that cuts through jargon and spin to deliver accessible prose.
Individual Requirements
Minimum of a 2:1 from a leading university
Post-graduate Law or Journalism qualification
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Due to the global reach of our readership, our trainee journalists should possess an international
outlook
An interest in the law and business affairs and a willingness to travel internationally are essential
Legal knowledge and writing experience is an advantage
Only candidates who have the right to work in the United Kingdom will be considered for this role.
