Role: Managing Quantity Surveyor – Highways
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus package.
Location: Warrington
Are you an experienced Managing Surveyor with a history of successfully commercially delivering schemes within the Highways Sector? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a Commercial team with exciting prospects within one of the biggest Contractors in the Country? Then a role within a Market leading Contractor could be for you.
My client is looking to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor with a strong Highways background to manage the commercial functions of the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activity together with the recovery of monies for Crown Damage.
The successful candidate will come from a Main Contracting background with a breadth of Highways experience and have in depth knowledge of the NEC suite of Contracts.

Your duties will include ensuring:
The annual budget is set in line with the contract’s commercial strategy and delivered profitably.
The supply chain costs are managed fairly and effectively.
Contract requirements related to Asset Maintenance and Operational Requirements are complied with in full.
Financial reporting is produced to the required standard on time.
Timely instructions are issued to the supply chain with appropriate governance having been secured.
The supply chain is paid in accordance with contractual arrangements.
Early warnings and compensation events are delivered in accordance with the contract’s requirements.
Ensure effective control of costs in all activity.

Ideal Qualifications include:
This position is for an individual with the drive, enthusiasm and ability to work within a dedicated team ensuring targets are met and business objectives are completed efficiently.
The individual should have the proven experience in their ability to lead, influence and communicate with others.
The individual will have appropriate qualifications, and professional membership of the RICS, CIOB or ICE is desirable.
The individual will hold a valid CSCS card.
Ability to operate successfully in a commercial and political environment and previous experience of managing the project commercial performance is necessary. Commercial awareness is required to assess risk.
