Role: Structural Engineer
Location: Portsmouth or Burton On Trent
Salary: £30,000 – £40,0000 Plus Package
A highly regarded specialist Steel contractor is currently looking for a Structural Design Engineer for their offices in either Portsmouth or Burton on Trent. You will be responsible for producing engineering designs / calculations, ensuring the production of designs that are safe and fully compliant with projects specification, statutory regulations and design standards.
The Structural Engineer will be required to programme your work and ensure that all programmes are fully co-ordinated with the other design team members and project deliverables are clearly identified. You will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the design providing regular and accurate reports. You will be required to liaise with other design team members, departments and clients.

Successful Applicant Requirements
o Design office experience, with Parking or Steel Structures would be beneficial
o Experience using engineering software and systems
o Building construction knowledge
o Knowledge of current British and European design standard, along with knowledge of structural / civil design standards
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Experience working with contractors, engineers and architects
o Flexible approach with the ability to manage priorities of own workload
