My client is an internationally market leading electronic element supplier. They provide a unique service offering to their customers in their ability to deliver engineering solutions in designing, manufacturing & distributing bespoke components, from individual pieces to mass production, in a mere 48 hours – in comparison to their competitors who deliver in 12 weeks. They operate across a variety of verticals including energy, medical, aeronautical & the armed forces.
They are currently recruiting for an Internal Applications Engineer to be based in Hampshire and provide telephone, email and field based technical, application and costing support for the engineering products team, sales team and the customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Advise customers, engineering and sales representatives on the correct product for their application – including product selection, technical support, and application support.
Work with suppliers on technical inquiries from customers
Work with suppliers to develop/identify products that meet the needs.
Complete estimating and tendering process for Fast track systems from Technical checklists, sketch’s and communication between customers and Field Application Engineers
Updating and review of NetSuite project information and ASW project management
Liaising with suppliers on pricing and deliver
Developing relationships and agreements with suppliers.
Support defining and developing industry required Proprietary products
Interface between customers and engineering on custom development projects.
Screen potential projects and help qualify them for follow up by the field application engineers.
To be considered a contender to be a part of our clients productive and successful team, you must have BSc or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering with 5 -/+ years of experience in the design and production of assemblies using mil-spec connectors.
Or 5+ years experience designing cable assemblies and/or assemblies using electrical connectors. Experience with fiber optics, RF connectors/cables, back planes are a plus.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £25,000 -/+ per annum with bonus scheme as well as other company benefits.
