Technical Compliance Specialist Role:
Your main duties will be:
To draft technical guidance documents for the business.
To work with the NPD, Sales and Marketing teams to develop product development briefs & positioning.
To keep up to date with new global standards and regulations.
To keep up to date with developments within the industry and amongst competitors.
To travel to exhibitions when required and keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations.
To evaluate the performance and benchmark products and accessories through internal and external testing.
To prepare technical documents including Technical Data Sheets and Manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheets.
To maintain and update the company technical database.
To put forward ideas for new products and identify appropriate new technologies.
To provide technical support for high value/complex claims.
To investigate and provide supporting evidence for quality issues to the supply chain.
To administer the annual external audit for the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
Minimum 2:1 honours degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Material Science.
Post university industrial work experience in a laboratory or technical support role in any of the following: polymers, plastics, rubbers, coatings, or flooring.
Experience in regulatory affairs is essential.
Experience in developing sustainability strategies would be desirable.
An element of the role will require laboratory work, so hands on experience is essential.
Experience
of preparing for and supporting audits is desirable.
A full UK Driver’s License is required.
Willing to travel both within UK and overseas when required.
Must be able to give presentations to a range of internal and external audiences across all levels of seniority.
French language skills are desirable, but not essential.
