Due to the successful promotion of our previous post holder, the governors of Park Road Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Deputy Head teacher to work with us in achieving our aim to provide outstanding education for all our children. The role will focus on leading teaching and learning and inclusion throughout school.
We are a thriving and popular one form entry school. We pride ourselves on the personal and social development of all pupils and staff and are a happy and creative school. In our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2012), it was recognised that we are a good school with outstanding features and a ‘strong capacity to improve further’. We have been relentless in our drive towards outstanding since then and it is an exciting time to join us on this journey.
We are looking for:
A whole school leader for Teaching and Learning who demonstrates an excellent understanding of the new Curriculum 2014 and the SEND Reforms with a view to inclusive teaching and learning for all; someone with the ability to develop an engaging learning journey from Reception to Year 6, that holds creativity at its heart whilst accelerating progress in the basic skills of Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
This requires someone who has:
The leadership skills to inspire staff, children and parents through innovation and motivation
Outstanding and creative teaching skills, with the ability to coach and develop colleagues
A commitment to raising and maintaining children’s aspirations and with high expectations of achievement for every child
