Full-time – 37 hours per week, subject to flexible working
Fixed term, 1 year contract, this post is also open to secondment
Location: This is a multi-partner Pilot programme which will be hosted by County Durham Sport. The post holder’s main base will be the County Durham Sport Offices but will be required to hot desk on a weekly basis at Primary locations (in the Active Shildon and Active Valleys project locations)

About the Role
County Durham Sport (CDS) is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced programme coordinator to lead an exciting multi-partner pilot programme (Active Places). This is a place-based programme and will require the candidate to work with a variety of partners from a number of targeted areas, with the overall goal to support communities to become more physically active.
The post holder will be responsible for bringing partners together to work collaboratively and drive the development of the programme from within the communities.
The post holder will also support the development of work with other priority inactive groups including women and girls, older people and deprived communities.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the impact that sport and physical activity can have and will have a track record of successfully coordinating multi-partner programmes, partnership development or community development.
Role Purpose
To coordinate the successful delivery of the Active Places Pilots and support the wider outcomes and priorities identified by the Active Durham Strategic Committee.
Support economically disadvantaged communities to fit activity into their lives, in a way that works for them, with holistic support to help tackle the wider issues they face, and enabling them to enjoy happier, healthier lives.
