Job Summary
Proactive approach to coaching/teaching and developing young players.
Understanding M.R.F.A.’s business as a whole, particularly your area of specialty (Academy & Development
Centres).
Confident in developing strong relationships with parents and teachers/schools and local grassroots clubs in
promoting M.R.F.A.’s business.
Recognising and analysing players’ strengths and weaknesses and be able to write high-level player reports
with goal-sets for individual players.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Advanced Academy/Development Centres
● Assist the Head of Academy on the organisation and planning of all Development Centres and Advanced
Academy in all locations, including
● Helping to coordinate staff to ensure they attend the correct venues and that registers are kept up to
date
● Coordinating directly with venues and suppliers
● work closely with the Marketing Team to create the content and promotion plan, including leaflets,
website, email marketing and social media
● Work with the Head of Academy to proactively come up with new and creative ideas to support
development of players within these programmes
● Assist the Head of Academy with overseeing player reports for all Development Centres and Advanced
Academy, these will go out twice a year (December & April)
● Plan sessions using Sports Session Planner, and write player reports and goal set for individual players
Fixtures
▪ Work with Head of Academy to organise of both the Development Centres & Advanced Academy fixture
programme, including;
▪ liaising with venues when fixtures are at home
▪ liaise with opposition to ensure correct level of players
▪ organise relevant staff to attend fixture and ensure deliver of fixture follows guidance
around fixtures (games to be recorded via Veo)
P.E./school sports delivery
▪ Lead P.E. lessons and school clubs, ensuring M.R.F.A.’s syllabus and curriculum is adhered to
▪ Work with the Head of Schools to plan lessons
▪ Act as a role model and sounding board for other members of staff, holding them accountable for
delivery on their action points for development centres & academy
General/other
▪ Liaise directly and build close relationships with grassroots clubs locally and on a wider scale
▪ Proactively suggest networking events to attend to enhance your connection base and represent the
M.R.F.A. brand
▪ Run/host events/festivals when required
▪ Coach at our Holiday courses during half-term
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
● Level 2 football coaching (UEFA B desirable)
● Level 2 or 3 NVQ
● Ambitious and proactive in personal development
● Excellent communication – written and verbal
● Ability to work to deadlines and deliver under pressure
● Able to manage time to an excellent standard
● Ability to work across multiple teams of people (marketing/schools/academy)
● Completed or completing FA Youth Modules 1, 2 & 3
