The University of Nottingham offers a sector-leading range of sporting facilities including the David Ross Sports Village opened in October 2016. The £40 million sports village provides a premier training and competition venue for elite athletes, fitness and social sport and will support us to deliver an outstanding student sporting experience combined with a top quality education.
We are looking for an experienced health and fitness professional to support the overall day-to-day operations of the David Ross Sports Village, Jubilee Campus and King’s Meadow Campus Fitness Suites. You will assist with creating a culture of excellent customer service and member experience; help, motivate and manage the health & fitness team; optimise member retention and inspire regular activity; ensure compliance with health and safety procedures; support with the design and delivery of the group exercise programme and overall support the delivery of the department’s vision for sport.
The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment, professionalism and inspiration and will have significant experience in a leisure or fitness/gym environment, a proven record of leading teams and working as part of a team in a busy customer service environment.

This is a full time, permanent position 36.25hrs per week and candidates will need to be flexible in their approach to their working hours, noting that the operational hours range between 05.30am and 11.00pm seven days a week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
Post holders may occasionally be asked to work outside of normal working hours, for some events and essential building maintenance.
