Creative construction company Nicholas Alexander is currently recruiting for a creative production role. We are a creative lead business that deals with the fabrication and production of exciting and dynamic projects ranging from touring exhibition stands to bespoke furniture. Our work is generally bespoke, can involve travel, is often challenging, and is always a team enterprise.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in both design and fabrication, using both traditional and modern CNC production techniques. We really like people who like making things! Your primary responsibility however will be CNC production and producing workshop drawings for the workshop staff.

Successful applicants for this role will need to have good 2D drawing and 3D modelling skills preferably in Rhino 3D or Sketchup Pro.

This role is focussed on the process of turning ideas into objects, and will involve producing drawings, liaising with the workshop, researching materials and processes, and being trained in how projects are built.

Attributes:

fluent in Rhino CAD, Sketchup or AutoCAD
capable and experienced in 3 axis CNC programming
able to manage job flow, ordering, workshop organisation and machinery maintenance
have general workshop and fabrication knowledge
able to take responsibility for projects
talented designer, preferable with Industrial Design degree
friendly and relaxed attitude
fluent English is required
