Assistant School Sports Development Officer – North West Leicestershire School Sports Partnership

Job Description
Full Time (School term time only) fixed term contract until 31st August 2018. Continuation possible subject to continued funding.

Post : subject to enhanced disclosure from the DBS and satisfactory reference checks.

Established in 2005 the NWLSSP is recognised locally, regionally and nationally for high quality delivery of outcomes for schools, staff, students and the local community. The NWLSSP works closely with 43 schools (36 Primaries) to deliver a wide ranging and high quality offer of inter and intra School Games competitions, leadership opportunities, curricular and extra curricular coaching support, teaching and wider staff CPD and physical activity programmes.

With a track record of achieving outcomes and the ability to attract significant investment, locally from schools as well as other regional and national funding sources, the NWLSSP is firmly established within the locality and looking to ensure the long term sustainability of PE and School Sport in the area.

Job Purpose – To be the lead contact for Primary Schools in the NWLSSP, working alongside them to improve PE and School Sport provision for all pupils within the school system. This post will also work as part of the NWLSSP Events Team delivering Level 1 and 2 School Games competitions across the partnership with a particular focus on Level 1 (mass participation) provision across all Primary, Secondary and Special Schools in the NWLSSP.
