Due to the restructuring of the Senior Leadership team, a new post of Associate Vice Principal has been created to
Lead and direct the Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategy in the Academy;
Leading and directing the Continuous Professional Development for teaching and associate staff;
Co-ordinating the Appraisal system for teaching and associate staff;
Leading the Student Voice in the School;
Line Manager to Middle Leaders.
The Academy is looking for an individual with energy, vigour and perseverance who has a substantial presence and personal impact-the ‘wow’ factor. We want someone who is interested in their own professional development and sees the post as a stage in their career towards Vice Principal/Deputy Head and/or Headship/Principal. We want someone who is self-confident, able to make difficult decisions and have resilience-someone who has very strong inter personal skills, works well in a team, is open to advice and constructive criticism, and supportive of colleagues. The person appointed must be an authentic Catholic/Christian leader with high integrity, honest, trustworthy, loyal and reliable. They must be enthusiastic displaying drive and determination, be someone who enjoys working with young people and, above all, a good sense of humour.
NOR 1060 with 220 in the Sixth Form. We are rated ‘Outstanding’ based on our recent Section 48 Inspection. We experience excellent behaviour with our students and we are in the top 10% in the country for Value Added.
