We are currently seeking a BIM coordinator to play an active role in the ongoing efforts to implement Revit in the Grimshaw offices.
The BIM coordinator role is focussed on providing ongoing development and support for Revit and Autodesk platforms. The role will work closely with our existing digital design and delivery leadership to guide the transition from traditional CAD practices into more integrated design modelling processes.
Responsibilities:
to support the BIM manager and provide feedback on Revit based projects to the design technology team
to guide teams to a model based design process by delivering and/or managing BIM/CAD software training and workshops for new and existing staff
maintain project Revit models including phasing, modelling and conventions
creation of project specific Revit materials (e.g. families)
conduct regular reviews of project models to ensure best practice
to set up BIM/CAD systems for projects requiring client/project-driven standards and workflows
coordination with client/external consultants
manage consultants or contractors for configuration and training when required
Skills and knowledge:
advanced knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM authoring software
solid understanding of legacy BIM/CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD
additional knowledge of Bentley Microstation is beneficial
must possess at least two or more years of relevant experience with Revit and BIM Concepts
