Position Overview
The World Curling Federation (WCF) is the International Federation responsible for the organisation of the Olympic Winter Sport of curling. With 54 members spread across the world, the WCF leads the development of curling through a varied programme of international competitions, education and support programmes. The WCF is also responsible for the Paralympic Winter Sport of Wheelchair Curling.
The World Curling Federation is looking to expand its broadcast operations staff following the recent announcement of the expansion of its broadcast partnerships http://www.worldcurling.org/expanded-broadcast-offering
This position would be based at the World Curling Federation’s administrative office in Perth, Scotland and is offered for a period of two years. However, the successful candidate would be required to undertake significant travel and irregular working hours to support the work of the Federation at events worldwide (circa 60 days away from the office).
The WCF Broadcast Projects Officer will work collaboratively with the WCF Broadcast Manager and WCF colleagues, event Organising Committees, WCF Broadcast Partners and TV production professionals to ensure the successful delivery of WCF broadcast operations worldwide.

Key Tasks:
o To develop and implement a WCF Broadcast Projects strategy in conjunction with the WCF Broadcast team
o Plan, oversee and implement the provision of broadcast coverage at identified WCF Events
o Liaise with event Organising Committees to establish optimal environment for broadcast coverage at identified WCF Events
o Manage enquiries and requests from broadcaster at identified WCF Events
o Manage and budget for contracted TV personnel at identified WCF Events
o Support the work of the WCF Broadcast Manager as required
Requirements:
o Educated to degree level
o At least five years’ experience in broadcast operations of sporting events
o Strong understanding of broadcast coverage needs of curling events
o Organisational experience of International Curling Events would be a significant advantage
o Excellent communication skills, experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
o Excellent organisational, planning and managerial skills
o Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
o Excellent written and oral English language skills. Other languages would be an advantage
