Business Administration Apprentice – England Boxing Ltd – London

Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to recruit and appoint x1 EB Business Administration Apprentice (aged between 16-25) who will directly support the inner workings and behind-the-scenes operations of the sport by supporting the administration and delivery of our competitions and events, as well as our membership, workforce & finance services. There will also be opportunities to support our Performance team and other departments.

Key Accountabilities:
• Alongside the Competition & Events Manager, support the
effective organisation and delivery of our Championships
and other events, including – but not limited to – the EB
Annual Awards Ceremony
• To support the recruitment, retention, and development of
volunteers in order to effectively develop and deliver boxing
within communities by answering communications and
supporting the delivery of projects relating to Membership &
Workforce enquiries
• To support the provision of high-quality coach development
opportunities, with a focus on underrepresented groups
including female, ethnically diverse coaches, low socioeconomic and participants with disabilities/long-term health
conditions
• Alongside England Boxing affiliated clubs, turn interest in the
sport into regular participation by supporting members and
athletes with their involvement and engagement
• To capture, and record data and insight during all activities to aid
learning and helping shape future support that England Boxing
will provide
• To support with a wide range of administrative &
communication-related tasks across the EB departments
located at its head offices in Sheffield EIS
• To comply with England Boxing rules, regulations, policies,
and procedures.

Person Specification:
Essential
• An interest in and understanding of amateur boxing
• Passionate about competitions & events, with a keen interest in customer and membership support
• Respects and relates well to people of diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Hard working and flexible in approaching and dealing with challenges that arise
• Willing to travel and work flexibly including some evenings & weekends – specifically those where EB Championships & Events are due to take place
• Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams

Desirable
• Educated to a level 2 standard in Maths & English
• Experience of supporting grassroots sport / clubs / communities and the delivery of their events
• Experience in partnership working and building relationships with individuals and organisations
• Ability to work independently using initiative whilst also contributing to the national team
• Experience in sports coaching or relevant qualification
• Experience working in an office or customer service-related environment
