Activate Camps is a leading provider of active and inspiring childcare across the UK. Each year we operate over 150 course weeks across the UK, delivering multi activity camps, together with specific sports driven courses.
We are more than just sport; we are “Active and Inspiring Childcare”. Our groups are always age-appropriate and offer lots of choice for both boys and girls to extend their skills and release their potential.
We are looking for Camp Managers to work on our sport specific and activity summer camps at venues across the UK.
A typical day in the life of….
• Manage, support and direct all camp staff in line with normal operating procedures and code of conduct.
• H&S management including risk assessments, emergency action plan and associated on site staff training and monitoring
• Ensure every child is enjoying themselves at all times & generate a great academy atmosphere through fun, enjoyment & respect, maintaining high levels of safety throughout • Always welcome each parent and child in a professional and friendly manner
Other Activities
• Manage and take responsibility to extra curricular sessions. These may include: wet weather activities, lunchtimes & worksheet completion tasks
• Manage and actively engage children in our Extra Time Club
Hours
• Our Academies run from 9:30am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5pm (depending on location) with the offer of our Extra Time Club to parents, which adds an additional hour, each side of the day
• You may be required to work in excess of 40 hours a week therefore you will be asked to ‘opt out’ of the 48 hour Working Time Directive
General
• Respond to incidents and/or emergences in line with company policy
• Adhere to Activate Camp’s brand standards
• Dress and act according to Activate Camp’s policy at all times
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks required
Wages and Benefits
• You can earn between £300 – £500 per week (pro rata) depending on your age, qualifications and experience

We are looking for managers that:
• Are out-going and enjoy working with children between the ages of 5 – 16
• Have great communication and management skills
• Have a positive & hard working attitude towards their work
• Can inspire others to create a motivated and fun camp staff team
• Hold a valid DBS certificate – Activate can split the cost if you need one processing
• Have a right to work in the UK
Our coaches will also have the following qualifications and skills:
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• The capability to differentiate coaching sessions and drills
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour & group management skills
