Role Description
• To be responsible for the leadership, internal organisation, and day to day management of the ESFA as an educational charity, in line with Council policy, and consult appropriately in so doing
• To monitor spend against the ESFA budget to ensure any over- or under-spends are identified and timely corrective action taken

5. Raising the profile of the ESFA
The person appointed to this prestigious position will be an inspirational leader who will achieve our vision and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will possess a university degree, and will be professional, compassionate, self-motivated and an excellent communicator. The ESFA is an educational organisation, and so we seek to appoint a leader with a proven track record of success as a senior manager within a school context, or from a similar background that supports the ESFA’s status as an educational charity.
Additionally you will have demonstrated reliability, integrity, resilience and always remain good humoured under pressure, whatever its source. You will be passionate about the benefits of sport for young people within an educational context.
