Club Development Officer – Hockey Wales

Job Description
Hockey Wales are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, motivated, experienced and reliable sports development professional to lead on club development within a region.

The purpose of the club development officer role is:

• To support clubs to be well governed, financially stable, develop a strong and vibrant workforce, and increase membership
• Identifying community, and partner links locally to support clubs in their ambition to grow

The role of the club development officer is pivotal in the next phase of progress of Hockey Wales, supporting clubs to become the driving force of hockey development within their community.

Main duties carried out by the Club Development officer will be

1. Take lead responsibility for club development in a region, developing opportunities to strengthen clubs including business modelling and developing new approaches in identified priority areas
2. Support clubs to generate income and increase capacity to support the development and implementation of club development plans
3. Supporting the implementation of educational programmes ensuring sustained community club links are suitably established
4. Facilitate delivery of localised recreational competitive opportunities
5. Lead the POD (Partnerships that Own the Development of Hockey) approach in your Region, ensuring stakeholders are fully engaged to support
6. Coordinating the delivery and implementation of Hockey Wales’ programmes and policies across the Hockey for Life Framework in your region
7. Support volunteers development, sign post and support transitions to appropriate exit routes
