Job Description
Disability Sports Coach (DSC) is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our successful team as the Coaching and Training Development Officer.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for getting more disabled people playing sport who can work with a wide range of organisations and individuals on a range of coaching and training programmes.
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating our coaching, training and corporate sports days and working closely with our Community Clubs team to support the management of our clubs.
You will focus on: the delivery of our coaching services ensuring a high quality of service is delivered, the day to day management of our casual coaches, the delivery of our portfolio of training courses, the delivery of our corporate sports days and the promotion and marketing of all our services. You will also contribute to the writing of funding bids and the delivery of local and regional disability sport events.
The ideal candidate will have:
– Minimum of 12 months experience of coordinating and implementing sport or
community development programmes in a paid or voluntary capacity
– Experience of working with disabled people in a sport or community environment
– Knowledge and experience of building partnerships and relationships with individuals
and organisations
– Knowledge of promotional and sales techniques
– An valid NGB Level 2 coaching qualification
NB A satisfactory DBS check is required for this role
