Role:
The Premier League is looking to recruit a Coaching Planning and Projects Coordinator to support their mission of developing more and better Home Grown Players. This is an exciting new position within the Coaching function aimed at developing the World‘s Leading Youth Coaching Fraternity.
The recently launched Heads of Coaching project is a clear strategic priority for the Coaching function of the Premier League Football Development Department and the Coaching Planning and Projects Coordinator will play an important role in supporting the development of this project.
The purpose of the role is to provide project management support to the Coaching Function and take the lead on project management for the Heads of Coaching Project. This project involves both the deployment of Heads of Coaching in all Category 1 to 3 Clubs across the Leagues and a bespoke development programme for all newly appointed and existing Heads of Coaching.
Responsibilities:
• Support all members of the Coaching team at the Premier League in the management of the Heads of Coaching project
• Support the specialist Premier League staff in all aspects of the project
• Budget and financial management/tracking of all aspects of the Heads of Coaching project
• Lead the planning and organisational aspects of the project
• Establish and implement a project plan and tracking systems for the projects key performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Lead the collation of analytics of each aspect of the Heads of Coaching project
• Coordinate reviews for each aspect of the Heads of Coaching project
• Work with existing project and planning staff to ensure integration and efficiency across the Football Development Department
• Support the project management of the Elite Coach Apprentice Scheme (ECAS) where required
• Communicate regularly with consultants and other staff as required
• Lead the planning and management of the coaching calendar, inclusive of all coaching programmes delivered by the coaching team in addition to the specific project requirements; inclusive of workshops, inductions and conferences
• Collate data and learning resources and store effectively for use within the Heads of Coaching project
• Manage and upload learning content
• Lead on all communication to all Heads of Coaching/Clubs, mentors, design staff, venue staff and delivery staff/facilitators
• Work with the Coach Development Manager to coordinate the delivery of Coaching Case Files with the team of Club Support Managers (CSMs)
• Support the delivery of the Coaching Fraternity days and the annual Premier League Academy Coaches Conference
• From time to time undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Premier League Football Development department
Person specification (experience and qualifications)
Essential:
• Highly experienced project manager
• Experience on large scale projects
• Financial and budgetary management experience
• IT literate
• DBS clearance
Desirable:
• Experience of project support in learning and development
• Passion for football
• Experience of working in an elite Youth Development environment
• Learning and Development specialist
• Professional qualification in project management or related area in business (e.g. PRINCE 2)
• Qualified to degree level or above
