Job Description
Are you a qualified sports coach or teacher with a drive to both coordinate and deliver high quality physical activity and sport for all young people? At the Merton School Sport Partnership we take pride in our programmes and are looking for a reliable, self-motivated and organised coaching programme assistant to join our dynamic team. Your typical week at work will involve liaising with primary schools and sports deliverers, organising timetables for our self-employed coaches, delivering school sports and physical activity sessions and supporting the team at our school sports festivals and competitions.
You will need to be a great communicator, reliable, enthusiastic and adaptable as you work with the Deputy Director to ensure the sports specialist provision service we offer schools continues to operate at a high standard.
You must possess or be working towards a UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification or QTS and have some experience in working with young people in an education or sport coaching setting, have strong written English and grammar, a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and manage a varied workload. The post holder must also be willing to undertake further training opportunities and mentoring which form a crucial part of this role. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
