Commercial and Operations Manager – Dulwich – Old Alleynian (rugby) Football Club

Job Description
The Old Alleynian (Rugby) Football Club (OAFC) , based in Dulwich, South London is seeking to hire a Commercial and Operations Manager. Providing social and safe rugby facilities for junior boys and girls and senior teams, the Old Alleynian Football Club sits within the stunning Dulwich Estate, back-dropped by surrounding sports facilities and the Dulwich & Sydenham Golf Club.

With many years of success and continued growth, the Club has recently changed its structure to support the Commercial and Operations Manager who will have complete operational oversight of the running of the Club and be the key person to lead on all commercial activities which will provide financial benefit to the OAFC.

The role will take responsibility for:
– All major commercial projects
– Day to day running of the Club and its grounds (including managing the 3rd party groundsmen, contractors and other relevant stakeholders) and ensuring the Club is operationally safe and fit for purpose
– Leading commercial activities (including driving sponsorship, lettings, bar management) to drive revenue

The candidate:
– Strong commercial acumen
– Ideally experience of running sporting operations in a Club environment
– A willingness to embrace the culture of the Club and be a central point of contact for all involved
– Able to live on the grounds in the Club’s own three bedroom apartment
