Commercial Development Executive – Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club – Brighton, East Sussex

Job Description

Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club are now offering a unique opportunity for two ambitious individuals who are seeking to further their career in the sporting environment. These roles will be based at the world-class American Express Community Stadium in Brighton within a new arm of our Commercial Development team. Our Commercial Development Executives will focus on developing new sales revenues for the club within two main areas:

• Sales of home match tickets to groups (12+ tickets)
• Sales of “Premium Seat” inventory as a part of BHAFC’s “1901 club”

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent sales performance, delivered through exceptional customer service, and will be expected to be enthusiastic and determined in their approach to this task.

These roles will involve elements of proactive sales methodology, including out-bound calling and lead generation, setting up calls and meetings with prospective clients, hosting prospects on site or going off site to visit them, and keeping detailed and accurate records of actions and outcomes on a centralised CRM system.

There will also be elements of working within a reactive sales environment, answering enquires via phone and email in a timely and professional manner, handling service and general enquiries relating to the products, and being strong advocates of our products when communicating our offerings.

The successful candidates will need to be strong communicators in all respects and will need to demonstrate they are commercially minded, being able to identify opportunities to delight customers whilst securing additional sales or opportunities for the club.

Both of these products are considered more specialised products across the club’s whole portfolio and the successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with their direct team and across other departments in order to develop these products and processes, ensuring continued refinement and optimisation of our offering in these areas.

As part of a wider commercial department team there will be opportunities for the successful candidates to become involved in commercial development activities outside of their daily remit, providing opportunities for personal development and influencing the wider success of the club’s commercial activity. Guidance and mentoring will be provided in these instances and the successful candidates would be expected to embrace these opportunities with enthusiasm and a proactive approach.
