Job Description
The University of Strathclyde seeks to appoint an experienced and dynamic communications professional for its new £31 million sports facilities, opened in summer 2018.
Strathclyde Sport will be the heart of sport and physical activity at the University of Strathclyde, with the vision of being the most active city centre campus in the UK. Since opening in September 2018, our impact on delivering an outstanding student experience has been instant, and we have already attracted more than 7,000 members. We are continually growing our profile to not only create the Strathclyde Sport identity but to also provide further strategic support to the wider University mission.
As part of the senior management team of Strathclyde Sport you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative communication and digital strategies that maximise the recruitment and retention of our members. In addition, you will lead optimising our customer engagement and member services to develop Strathclyde Sport’s reputation for delivering excellence in sport and wellbeing.
The role will also work alongside our partners including the University of Strathclyde Sport Union, netball team Strathclyde Sirens and rugby’s Glasgow Warriors to create innovative and bold communications campaigns to support our growing profile and realise the vision outlined in the Strathclyde Sport Strategic Plan.
